Duo’s streamlined shape and efficient use of materials results in a uniquely minimalistic style. The bike stand makes a perfect complement to modern architecture, and provides a practical design that urban cyclists can use and appreciate. As the name suggests, Duo provides space for two bicycles, each parked on either side.

The bicycle stand is made in 12 mm plate steel, which has been surface-sanded. The product is available with a zinc-electroplated unpainted finish, or zinc-electroplated and powder-coated in standard colour white RAL 9010

The base plate is made with four bolt-holes (each has a diameter of 13 mm) for M12 bolts.

Variants

The product is available with a zinc-electroplated unpainted finish, or zinc-electroplated and powder-coated in standard colour white RAL 9010. Other colours are available for an additional fee.
The base plate bolts into the surface or, alternatively, can be prepared to be bolted 20 cm beneath a pre-cast surface.

Duo was designed by Jenny Osuldsen, an architect at Snøhetta. It complements modern architecture in a practical design that suits many urban bicycle schemes.

Jenny Osuldsen & Snøhetta

Jenny B. Osuldsen is partner in Snøhetta and Professor in Landscape Architecture. Educated as Landscape Architect in Norway (MLArch) and in the USA. Joined Snøhetta in 1995 and has had a central position developing the landscape architecture department. She has been deeply involved in many of Snøhetta designs, both in competitions and in a wide range of small and larger projects. She has lectured in several architectural symposia, sharing Snøhetta´s philosophy and design ideas. She is Professor in Landscape Architecture at the University of Life Science in Norway and Guest Professor at Ax:son-Johnson Institute of Sustainable Urban Design SUDes at the University of Lund, Sweden.
