The main supporting posts are made in solid steel. The roof supports are made in laser-cut steel with a thickness of 10 mm. The roof itself is made from Lexan Exell scratch-resistant polycarbonate plastic. The roof trim is made from anodized aluminum pipe with a diameter of 3 cm. The back section is made from reinforced glass with a depth of 6 mm. The glass grips are made from cast zinc. All steel parts are zinc-plated polyester powder-coated in standard colour black RAL 9005 with a shine ratio of 20-30. Other RAL colours are available upon request. All fixtures and fittings are made in rust-resistant metal.
Steel
Nola uses high-quality steel of good strength in our products. Steel rusts if left untreated and must therefore be surface treated. For this we use two main methods for surface treatment of steel parts; electrogalvanizing and powder coating as well as hot-dip galvanizing.
Electrogalvanized
Electrogalvanizing (also known as zinc plating) provides corrosion protection through the sacrifice of zinc ions. It is created via a zinc coating on the steel using an electric current.
Powder coating
Powder coating is a coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, powder coating is usually applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The result is an even, hard-wearing coloured surface with the desired gloss level.
