Lightframe

David Regestam

This innovative bicycle stand sheds light on its surroundings. Designed in the shape of a window, two LED strips integrated into the top of the frame make it easier for cyclists to secure their bicycles in the dark. The LEDs light up the area around them, providing ambient light for pedestrians. The proportions can accommodate a wide variety of bicycle models and correspond to the scale of contemporary architecture. Bicycles can be secured at any height within the frame, creating a uniquely ergonomic design as cyclists aren’t required to bend or stoop to attach their locks. Lightframe is freestanding but several can be combined to create a barrier or an architectural shape.
