Lobster

Armchair

Design Martin Thübeck

The Lobster armchair invites you to sit back, relax and hang out in comfort. Its striking shape was developed to challenge the convention of sitting upright and to increase comfort levels in environments such as learning centres.  Although education has changed drastically in recent years, the seating designed for learning environments continues to look more or less the same.

Lobster made its debut at Ung Svensk Form (the Young Swedish Design show) in 2019 and is now part of Nola's seating range. Lobster offers variety in a world of diverse environments, meeting individual needs at workplaces and schools, seating travellers on holiday and those staying home. Crafted from bent steel and padded seat cushions, Lobster is delivered fully assembled. As Lobster asks us how we want to sit, its ergonomic design offers a wide range of individual comforts.

Materials and surface treatments

Steel

Nola uses high-quality steel with good strength in our products. Steel rusts if left untreated and must therefore be surface treated.

Plastic

Polyurethane Foam

Polyurethan foam is a highly elastic polymer product and provides a bouncy structure and feels extra comfortable to sit on. With its attributes such as being allergy-neutral, long-lasting and fire- and flame-resistant, it can easily be used in public environments.
