Hinken litterbin is spacious, yet simple. Made from plastic-fibres, this sleek and sustainable design makes a perfect complement to contemporary spaces. The litterbin can be adapted for sorting and recycling metal, paper and glass. The litterbin is made in standard colours: white or anthracite. A smaller version, Hinken 40, is available. Hinken can also be used as a planter.

Materials and surface treatments

The lid is made of zinc plated, chromed and powder-coated steel.

Assembly and placement

Fully assembled.

Bolts to the surface with three M10 bolts. Bolts are not included.

Maintenance

Products manufactured in fibreglass or reinforced plastic do not normally require maintenance. Clean with mild detergent.

Variants

Hinken is available as a litterbin or as a planter. The Hinken 40 product is a smaller version of this litterbin. Made in standard colours white or anthracite, Hinken can be produced in non-standard colours for an additional fee.

Thomas Bernstrand

Designer Thomas Bernstrand, who owns his own design studio in Stockholm, has participated in a large number of design and art exhibitions around the world such as MoMA in New York, Colette in Paris, Biennale Design Saint-Etienne and others.

Bernstrand has received several awards for his work, including Excellent Swedish Form and Winner of the Good Design Award 2012 for Nolastolen Share. For Nola, Bernstrand has designed a large number of products and furniture series and participated in a number of special projects over the years.
