Växa is a year-round, indoor-outdoor design that makes an elegant addition to any outdoor courtyard, terrace or interior setting. Växa’s reinforced concrete form is decorated with a trailing flower pattern cast in relief. The planter is made with a detachable lining, making it easier to re-pot plants or move them into the greenhouse in winter. Växa is equipped with an irrigation tank.

The planter is made in reinforced concrete. The inner container is made in 4 mm fibreglass fitted with a foldable handles made of galvanized steel.
Concrete is cement mixed with crushed stone or aggregate. The material is very strong in compression but fragile in tension. To compensate for this concrete can be reinforced, often with steel.

Both normal concrete and fibre-reinforced concrete are sensitive to hard edge impacts. A concrete product that has been damaged can be repaired with polyester filler, such as the product “Plastic Padding”.

Sissa Sundling, Master of Fine Arts in Design från HDK 1999, har sedan dess arbetat med produktdesign. Ikea var hennes största kund och har för deras räkning skapat 100-tals produkter som återfinns i hem världen över. Mellan 2009 och 2014 var hon förste designer på Sandberg Tyg&Tapet och sedan 2014 arbetar hon som designchef på Boråstapeter.
