Materials and surface treatments

The planters are made in sand-cast aluminium powder-coated in standard colours Gris 900 Sablé (anthracite) or alternatively black Noir 200 Sablé.

Recycled sand cast aluminium

Aluminium recycled from scrap, hand cast in sand moulds. The energy consumption when producing recycled aluminium is about 5% of that used when producing virgin aluminium.

Powder coating

Powder coating is a coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, powder coating is usually applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The result is an even, hard-wearing coloured surface with the desired gloss level.

Assembly and placement

Freestanding

Freestanding product that is placed directly on the ground.

Surface mount

Can be bolted above ground, to the floor or to a cast-in-place foundation. Bolts not included.

Freestanding. The planters can stand on detachable, adjustable feet, or be bolted to the surface. The base of each planter has the same measurements, making it easy to mount them together if required. When several are positioned together they can be attached by an extended M10 bolt.

OBS! Ska nedersta krukan i en formation inte ha hål för vattenavrinning, tala om det vid order!

Maintenance

Completely untreated aluminum acquires a gray patina after some time outside, reminiscent of concrete.

Sand cast aluminium

Maintenance on aluminium is not normally needed, but make sure to wash and keep the material clean. Untreated aluminium develops a matte surface over time.

Powder coated Aluminium

Products that are powder-coated can be touch-up painted with alkyd paint if necessary.
