Vista is a new office building in Hyllie, Malmö — designed to support a work culture shaped by sustainability, health and human connection. Its many terraces, each oriented in a different direction, became part of its architecture, inviting movement, rest and informal meetings.
Hyllie plays a central role in Malmö’s regional transformation. Located at the intersection of commuting routes, commerce and public life, it connects the city to both Copenhagen and the continent. In recent years, the area has evolved into a mixed-use district where offices, housing and public services coexist with a strong focus on accessibility and climate adaptation.
The building, developed by Veidekke for Wihlborgs Fastigheter, was designed to support active, sustainable work life. The terraces are a key feature, designed with flow, variation and everyday use in mind.
“We’ve worked with Wihlborgs for many years,” says Agneta Stake, founder of Nola. “They involved us early in the process to explore layout, functionality and product choices for the terraces.”
In close dialogue with the project’s architect, layout proposals and product recommendations were developed directly from the drawings — tailored to how each outdoor space would be used.

Some terraces were designed for gatherings, with Långbordet and round tables from the Parco series encouraging conversation and community. Others offered quiet spots for rest, furnished with Kajen sun loungers and the High Sunchair. Akalla pergolas with tables created areas for outdoor work and meetings, while Deli attachable tables next to custom-built benches brought the informal rhythm of a city café. Elbin litter bins were placed throughout.
“The feedback from Wihlborgs has been very positive,” Stake adds. “They appreciated that we were involved throughout, from early planning to on-site placement. That level of collaboration allowed each space to become the best possible version. We’re proud that our expertise was part of the process, all the way through.”
Furnishing Vista meant recognising the potential of each terrace and shaping spaces that invite rest, work and quiet moments throughout the day.
