Torsgatan, Stockholm

Commissioner: Castellum
Architect: Groot Utemiljöer
Designers: Thomas Bernstrand, White Arkitekter.
Completion: 2021

A courtyard on Torsgatan, Stockholm, behind the Stockholm Vatten-building from 1906, has been designed with activity, recreation and social interactions in mind. Landscape architects Groot Utemiljöer has created an urban beach setting with sun loungers and sun parasols on a private — but inviting — patch of grass surrounded by the city's concrete and stone.
The courtyard is designed to be an active place all year round, free to use for the people living in the building and the companies connected to it.

Nola has delivered Loj sun chair, Four Season sun parasol and White Arkitekters' Långbordet, a modular seating system for social interactions. Read more about Långbordet here!
