Nola has been awarded two of six contracts in the public tender for new innovation partnerships. The partnership is a new form of public procurement that meets legal requirements while encouraging product development. Nola was given the green light to move on to the next stage and begin advancing two projects. They will be developed in collaboration with designer Emma Olbers, and with designer Gunilla Allard who works collaboratively with Note Design Studio.
Skogskyrkogården is a UNESCO World Heritage Site designed by architects Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz from 1916 to 1940. The public tender was initiated by the City of Stockholm and the Cemetery Administration in collaboration with ArkDes Museum and the Sveriges Arkitekter organisation.

The competition is aimed at designers, architects and artists, and encourages collaborations with manufacturers. The tender stipulates that all new outdoor seating will be designed and produced in harmony with the existing historic designs. The procurement is expected to be completed in the spring of 2019, with production and delivery of the new furniture scheduled for 2020.
