Nola exhibits with magazine RUM in Milan

2019–04–05

We are proud to exhibit together with the magazine Tidskriften RUM in a group exhibition on the 9th to 14th of April at Bagni Misteriosi Milan, during Milan Design Week. Nola showcase the Kaskad armchairs by prominent designer Björn Dahlström.

For the first time, Nola is exhibiting together with the magazine Tidskriften RUM in a group exhibition at this year's design event in Milan. Rum magazine, together with the design Schools Konstfack and Malmsten, will hold a week-long event and an exhibition to showcase and pay attention to Scandinavian design and architecture and promote and highlight products and processes that are sustainable, innovative, interesting and beautiful.

The pavilion, designed by Swedish architectural studio Hesselbrand, is built around the Bagni Misteriosi ancient outdoor pool, where the group exhibition is shown. Nola is one of several Scandinavian companies that will be exhibiting products in this exhibition, which showcases high quality and sustainable design. Nola shows off classic Kaskad armchairs by well-known designer Björn Dahlström.

The award-winning Kaskad armchair was inspired by the movement of water surging over rapids. Crafted from ribbons of curved steel attached to a contouring frame, the chair’s fluid form and flowing lines recalls shapes commonly used in contemporary art more than in industrial design. The armchair is durable and maintenance-free, ergonomic and stackable, and can be used both outdoors and inside. Over the years the armchair has won awards such as the Swedish Design S Award and Red Dot Design Award Winner.

Milan Design Week is one of the world's largest meeting places for design. The group exhibition runs from April 9th to 14th at Bagni Misteriosi, at Via Carlo Botta, 18, 20135 Milan, Italy.
