On October 1st, Henrik Edlund took over as the new CEO of Nola Industrier AB. After almost 40 years as CEO and owner of Nola, Agneta Stake is now choosing to hand over the CEO position to her nephew Henrik Edlund. Agneta will continue her work in Nola with Design Management.
Henrik Edlund's most recent position was Managing Director of the Swedish branch of the European tech and design company FUTURICE. He brings 15 years of experience in business development and digitalisation in B2B.
"It feels great to be part of Nola's continued journey in designing urban environments and actively contributing to how our public space is constantly changing," says Henrik Edlund.
"Since the early 1980s, Nola has been a leading player in the industry, working in close collaboration with the country's most progressive designers," adds Agneta. "When I started talking to Henrik about taking over as CEO, I realised that we had both a common view of entrepreneurship and a shared understanding of Nola's recipe for market success."
Agneta Stake will continue her work in Nola, together with Henrik, her daughters and Nola's knowledgeable employees, with a continued focus on developing and creating tomorrow's products for the public environment.
Nola Industrier AB is currently one of the most important players in furnishing the public environment, focusing mainly on markets in the Nordic countries and Northern Europe. Over the years, the company has received a number of awards such as Utmärkt Svensk Form (Excellent Swedish Design), Design S, Red Dot Design Award, German Design Award and Elle Decoration Swedish Design Awards, to name a few.
In terms of this change of CEO, Nola wants to ensure a safe transition for a continued long-term and exciting journey of growth.

Nola contributed to academic research at Malmstens Linköpings University, exploring how to make urban environments healthier. Researchers say greener cities, urban parks and agile placemaking can make a big difference.
Nolas award-winning Kaskad armchair, by prominent designer Björn Dahlström, has been selected to be part of the exhibition "The Form of Success - Design as a Corporate Strategy” at the Red Dot Design Museum in Xiamen, China.

Nola, in collaboration with Sweden Urban Arena, will be exhibiting products designed for shopping centers and urban areas.
Nola’s new memorial markers respect historic places and honour special people. They were installed at the memorial grove at the ancient Alstadhaug Cemetery, which received local and national awards in Norway during 2019.
Nola is exhibiting products with a focus on improved living habitats at Elmia Park in Jönköping, between the 24-26th of September.
Nola is exhibiting in the Swedish Design Pavilion during the London Design Fair, September 19th - 22nd, showing design news and classics.
Nola teamed up with Castellum to create an outdoor workspace on the rooftop of their Koppartorget TRE office development in Västerås, Sweden.
Nola has furnished the terrace at the award-winning Biomedicum at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Interior by Nyréns Architecture.
Nola was asked to provide furniture for the 2017 Swedish-Norwegian pavilion at the world-famous Cannes Film Festival. We included eco-friendly designs from Nina Jobs’ Rocky series and Gro planters by Mia Cullin.
We are proud to exhibit together with the magazine Tidskriften RUM in a group exhibition on the 9th to 14th of April at Bagni Misteriosi Milan, during Milan Design Week.
Nola participates in Swedish Design Moves and exhibits at the exhibition "HEMMA Gone Wild" during Milan Design Week.
